  • (HPCSA) as an Oral Hygienist.
  • Registration with a professional council: Registration with the HPCSA as an Oral Hygienist.
  • Experience: Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA as an Oral Hygienist in respect of RSA qualified employees.
  • 1-year relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as an Oral Hygienist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa.
  • Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as an Oral Hygienist in respect of SA qualified employees.
  • A Minimum of 11 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as an Oral Hygienist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa.
  • Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as an Oral Hygienist in respect of SA qualified employees.
  • A minimum of 21 years’ relevant experience after registration with the HPCSA as an Oral Hygienist in respect of foreign qualified employees, of whom it is not required to perform Community Service, as required in South Africa.
  • Inherent requirements of the job: Valid driver’s licence (Code B/EB).
  • Willingness to provide clinical service across the Oral Health platform including Tygerberg, Mitchells Plain, Red Cross and Mitchell’s Plain clinic.
  • Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good interpersonal skills and perform effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Appropriate experience in treating special needs patients.
